Win £500 Towards Your Move

1. Promoter. This competition is organised by MutualExchange.uk ("the Promoter"), operated by the MutualExchange team.

2. Eligibility. The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 or over who are current council tenants or housing association tenants, have a registered account on MutualExchange.uk, and have a published property listing on the platform at the time of the draw. The listing must be genuine — it must include a valid UK postcode, accurate property details, and at least 3 photographs. Accounts created solely to enter the competition without a genuine intention to participate in a mutual exchange will be disqualified. Employees and immediate family members of the Promoter are excluded.

3. Entry period. The competition opens on 14th April 2026 and closes at 23:59 GMT on 31st August 2026. Entries received after this time will not be counted.

4. How to enter. No purchase is necessary. Participants earn tokens ("entries") by: sharing their unique referral link (+1 token per share), having someone click their referral link (+1 token per click), having someone register through their referral link (+5 tokens per registration), creating a property listing (+3 tokens), and signing up with a referral code (+3 tokens). Each token represents one entry in the prize draw.

5. Listing requirement. Winners must have a published property listing on MutualExchange.uk at the time of the draw. The listing must contain: a valid UK postcode that geocodes successfully, the correct property type and bedroom count, at least 3 photographs, and a written description. The Promoter reserves the right to verify listings and disqualify entries where the listing appears to be fake, misleading, or not a genuine social housing property.

6. Prizes. Three prizes will be awarded: 1st prize £500, 2nd prize £350, 3rd prize £150. Total prize fund: £1,000. Prizes will be paid via bank transfer within 28 days of the draw. Prizes may be used for any purpose — moving costs, redecorating, furniture, or anything the winner chooses. If a winner has already completed a swap before the draw date, they are still eligible.

7. Draw. Winners will be selected at random from the total token pool on or shortly after 31st August 2026. The random selection will be conducted using a verified random number generator. Each token has an equal chance of being selected. One person can win only one prize. If a selected winner does not meet the eligibility criteria (e.g. no published listing), an alternative winner will be drawn.

8. Winner notification. Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the draw. Winners must respond within 14 days to claim their prize and provide proof of tenancy if requested. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 14 days, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

9. Disqualification. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any participant who: creates fake or duplicate accounts to earn tokens; creates fake or placeholder property listings; uses bots, automated tools, or scripts to generate clicks or shares; is not a genuine UK social housing tenant; engages in any fraudulent activity; or violates the MutualExchange.uk Terms of Service. Disqualified participants will have all tokens removed.

10. Data. Entrant data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Entry data will be used solely for the purpose of administering this competition. Winners may be asked to provide proof of identity and proof of social housing tenancy.

11. General. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to amend these terms or cancel the competition at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable. This competition is governed by English law.

12. Winner announcement. Winners may be announced on the MutualExchange.uk website and social media channels. Winners consent to their first name and general area (e.g. "Sarah from Peterborough") being used for promotional purposes.
